Combine the jam and water in a small saucepan. Stir over a low heat until the jam is melted. Simmer, uncovered, for 2 minutes; stir in the liqueur. |

Place nectarines in a medium bowl, add the jam mixture and stir gently. |

Toast the panettone slices and serve topped with the nectarine mixture and thick cream. |
